The George Washington men's basketball team will take its first road trip of the 2012-13 season on Saturday, Nov. 17 with a visit to Agganis Arena to face Boston University.

The road contest marks the program's third visit to the Boston metro area in the past four seasons following a trip to nationally ranked Harvard this past January and a November 2009 visit to Agganis Arena for a 69-59 victory over the Terriers.

GW sports a 17-2 all-time record against BU dating to the inaugural meeting in 1958, highlighted by a 5-1 mark in a six-year series from 2005-10. However, the Terriers captured the most recent meeting by knocking off the Colonials, 76-67, in the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off at The Pavilion in Villanova, Pa., in November 2010.

Colonials' head coach Mike Lonergan is also familiar with the Terriers as the former Vermont coach won 11 of 16 meetings in America East play from 2005-11, including an 83-70 victory in the 2010 AE Championship title game.

Three starters are anticipated to return for the Terriers in 2012-13, led by junior guard D.J. Irving, who averaged 11.4 points in 2011-12. BU will have to replace Darryl Partin, who averaged a team-high 19.6 points while guiding the Terriers to a 16-16 overall record and 12-4 mark in America East play last season. The 2012-13 campaign will mark Boston University's last in the America East as the Terriers announced their move to the Patriot League for the 2013-14 season last month.

After checking in and watching Coach Lonergan's daily game breakdown, fans can visit Facebook.com/GWsports and answer a trivia question for a chance to be entered in a grand prize giveaway at the conclusion of the non-conference schedule announcements. Prizes include an annual subscription to GW All-Access, two Colonials Club passes for the men's basketball team's home opener, or men's basketball endzone season tickets.
