Life in Quebec ? UTAQ Response

These observations are from students at the Universit? du troisi?me age de Qu?bec. This is continuing education for people aged 50+.

Students on the course were given copies of Life in Quebec Magazine, and were asked for their feedback.

Elizabeth Davies, their tutor, sent this:

?Life in Qu?bec Magazine? was published for the first time in November 2012. It is a bilingual publication with feature articles, descriptions of some books, a Quebec business directory,?advertising on where to eat in the region, and education in Quebec.?

We like bilingual feature articles; they are very interesting, original and fresh. The Article ?On the whale route in search of big blue? is a good story but is a little bit too long.? The article ?I moved to Quebec? is very interesting, but the story is not finished; we would like to know the end of the story. The article ?Being an entrepreneur in Quebec? is excellent.?

It would be interesting to have a bilingual Editorial page. It is a magazine for Anglophones and Francophones. It is interesting for the Quebec community.?

The group has noted some advertising from religious organizations. We suggest that this magazine should be non denominational.?

The front page is very nice and the picture is representative of a historic building and Quebec City. The presentation is made of a good quality paper. This magazine is a reference for students that are beginning to learn English.
