Square Card Case for iOS5 Automatically Opens Your Tab at Merchants So You Can Pay with Your Name [Updates]

iPhone: Square Card Case updated today with a feature that can automatically open your virtual tab at stores you visit regularly and pay for your purchases with your name?no need to take your phone out at all.

The virtual tab feature isn't new, but now the app taps into iOS5's geofencing capabilities, so whenever you walk within 100 meters of a Square shop, your purchases can automatically be put on the tab when you say your name at checkout. (Reminds me of that show Cheers, where everybody knows your name?except this is for all Square merchants.) Previously, you had to take your phone out and press the "use tab" button.

Other new features in the virtual card app include directions to businesses, comments and reviews from customers, and listing of popular merchants near you.
