With Michael McDonald moving up to face Chris Cariaso at UFC 130, WEC veteran Charlie Valencia has stepped in to meet bantamweight prospect Nick Pace on the UFC 133 fight card on August 6 in Philadelphia, the UFC has announced.
Pace (6-1) topped Will Campuzano in his UFC debut in December after falling to Demetrious Johnson in his lone WEC bout, while Valencia (12-7) won three-straight in the WEC before losses to Miguel Torres and Ivan Menjivar in his Octagon debut in December.
UFC 133 is headlined by light heavyweight contenders Rashad Evans vs. Phil Davis and also features Vitor Belfort vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama and Rich Franklin vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara.
